Red Banyan CEO and crisis expert Evan Nierman recently discussed the Travis Scott Astroworld Disaster on Fox5 DC in an interview about the concert tragedy that left eight dead.

Nierman noted that the event went out of control quickly with no apparent backup plans for stopping the event if something went wrong.

He said there has to be a “stopgap measure” that makes it possible to call a time out in a life or death emergency. He noted that the optics for Travis Scott are problematic because the rapper only stopped his performance briefly during the mayhem before proceeding with the concert while fans died in the huge, tightly-packed crowd.
