Red Banyan Senior Vice President Kelcey Kintner told Fox News that more people than ever may want to see the film “Rust” because the Alec Baldwin shooting tragedy has stirred up so much public interest. “In fact, a much, much larger audience knows about ‘Rust’ because of this horrible tragedy,” Kelcey told Fox News Digital. “I’m sure people will be curious to see how producers handle the movie in light of the tragic circumstances and will also be interested to see (actor) Alec Baldwin’s performance as this very serious charge hangs over him.” Baldwin has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who was killed on the movie set on Oct. 21, 2021 when Baldwin shot her with a prop gun that contained a live round.
