Red Banyan Founder and CEO Evan Nierman was recently quoted in TheWrap on the growing role crisis PR executive Risa Heller is forging in the L.A. crisis communications scene.

Heller’s clients have included tech grifter Elizabeth Holmes, NBC Universal CEO Jeff Shell and ex-CNN chief Jeff Zucker.

Evan, co-author of the book “Crisis Averted: PR Strategies to Protect Your Reputation and the Bottom Line,”noted that her style is distinct from the style of most Hollywood publicists, who may be at the top of their game promoting clients eager to talk about their films and TV shows, but are perhaps less skilled at personal or professional damage control.

“[Heller is] high level, experienced, assertive,” Evan said in the article. “Part of the reason you have a crisis PR representative who is operating at high levels is because you expect them to be able to do and say things that you wouldn’t expect from a run-of-the-mill communications professional.”
