Following Justin Bieber’s arrest last week in Miami Beach, a petition on the White House website arose asking for Bieber’s deportation back to his home country of Canada. As of midday Wednesday, the petition had garnered more than 103,000 signatures, surpassing the amount needed for consideration by President Obama.
Advocates and supporters claim that Bieber is participating in activities that endanger the American public, and that the pop singer is setting a bad example for his multitude of young fans.
While the Bieber petition reaching the White House doesn’t necessary mean any action will be taken, it does guarantee a review by the President and certainly adds another layer of problems to the Justin Bieber PR crisis.
