Red Banyan CEO Evan Nierman was quoted by Inc. on Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour’s claim that his prediction-market app is a healthier alternative to social media and a driver of financial literacy.
Nierman was skeptical of the framing, telling Inc. that Mansour is trying to define the category before critics define it for him and that the literacy pitch reads as a reputation protection play. He added that he doubts Kalshi will stick with the literacy message long term, since doing so would require proving users are becoming better informed rather than just turning the news into something to bet on.
