Red Banyan Founder and CEO Evan Nierman discussed in an interview on “Just the News” the fallout some companies are facing after weighing in on controversial hot-button topics. In the interview, Evan mentions the blowback Anheiser-Busch faced after briefly partnering with transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney who posted videos about Bud Light online; and the criticism directed at retail giant Target, which made news after selling transgender clothing items in advance of Pride Month.

“Consumers are demonstrating that they are tired of companies shoving their politics down their throats,” Evan said in the interview. “If they make the decision to jump headlong into the most divisive hot-button issues in the country, there’s going to be consequences and there’s going to be blowback and they are already seeing that.”

Both companies have faced huge losses in revenue,  Evan notes.
